Quote:Good afternoon Claudio,
These are good news (la bateria de liti), but meanwhile the range limitation could be overcome by doing what Roger says,
adding only when needed, a small petrol generator available on the market. Even the Li batteries will be not
enough for a lot of customers. Roger would not have been able to do the 190Km on a single charge with the Li batteries.
I think it would help new customers to make their minds.
I've seen a lot of people try the bike in Spain and not buying it because of the real limited range (I'm one of them).
They are highly satisfied with its performance, look&feel but do not want to invest such amount of money
on a scooter that is limited to 80 Km or much less if ridden at high speeds. We have no recharge network yet in Spain.
One gets to its destination and has to beg for a plug anywhere. One depends on people's good will and one does not like
depending on others for one's way back home.
I'm sure that this technology is ready, as it is the same as having your so announced 500W Fuel Cell under the seat
charging the batteries constantly while riding, and much cheaper at this time.
I know you might not have permission to say anything on this issue, but as we believe in the Vectrix project and want
it to be successful we would like you to transmit this message to whom you think can consider it (either technical or commercial) in Vectrix.
This detail can make the difference on boosting sales at least in Spain (and I'm sure that in other countries as well, even the US).
You go hybrid just when you really need it (e.g. inter-urban commuting), without modifying anything on the original bike.
It might even be a manufacturer official option if Vectrix reached an agreement with a generator manufacturer and integrate it aesthetically
on the back of the 2nd passenger. But this is a step further that you should consider carefully.
You have to adapt to the moment, and this moment is for petrol. Being blind to this can be just the self-destruction of such important project like yours, that is bringing the future today.
See how the Toyota Prius sales have improved after a great marketing campaign. They have the same range as petrol cars and the best efficiency.
Hybrids are the intermediate step between petrol and electricity. You have it very easy to offer the intermediate and final step, as you already have the finest electric bike at the final step.
Kind regards,
Aleix Layola

Hi Roger,
you’re right, it seems we’ll have lithium battery available next year. For sure it will be possible to upgrade your bike to give you extended range.
Best regards,
